Another great story in the Sweetgrass Springs saga this time it is Pen and Bridger. I read the the first three books in the series and could not wait to get my hands on this one and I was not disappointed. Although this is a stand alone you will enjoy it much more if you read the series from Book 1. I could not help but fall in love with the characters they are charming, annoying, lovable, crazy you name it you will find it amongst them. This one was a bit more of a tear jerker but I enjoyed every tear I shed. It is definitely worth 5 Stars in fact so far the entire series is worth that! Do yourself a favor start at Book 1 and go from there I am off to read Book 5...............Product details

The main characters of this story overcome many obstacles on their way to finding true love! The author carries the reader along and keeps you interested along the way.
Just finished the fifth of the Sweetgrass Springs books. I really hope there will be more. I want to know what Penny and Bridger will do in the little town, I want to be there when Scarlett opens her restaurant, how will Jackson's business fare in Sweetgrass Springs?
Fantastic series with excitement, suspense and romance all in one. Can't wait to read the next book in the series and the rest of Jean Brashear books. Very impressed with the writer.
Pen is a DC lawyer. Bridger is an ex Seal and now a fireman. They meet in Sweetgrass Springs at the big reunion and double wedding. There is an attraction that neither can ignore, even though they try. They also can see no way they can go any further because of who and what they are. Both have past troubles they need to deal with and are reluctant to do.
There is a lot of fun in this story and I guarantee you will enjoy it.
Enjoyable, fast-paced read about the folks of Sweetgrass Springs. Pen, a shark lawyer with a partnership in D. C. travels home to Sweetgrass Springs. She meets Bridger, retired SEAL, currently a firefighter in Tennessee, and sparks fly. Given the difference in their professions, neither one thinks they can make it a long-term relationship. They also have baggage which they help each carry and unpack.
I would have liked to hear about the meeting with law partners.
This is a series that can be read as stand alones.
I may re-read this story and always look forward to, pre-order when possible, new works by this author.
Let me first disclose that I love Jean's writing. I have loved everything she has ever written and just with all her other books, this is another great read.
The characters are complex and totally believable. I love how Penelope and Bridger connected.
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was the first third of the book was rehashing what had gone on in the other 4 books before it. Totally needed if you were reading as a standalone but having read all the others, I felt like I was racing through it to get to the good bits. I would have liked an Epilogue at the end as well, just thought it was a bit unfinished.
In saying all this, the story is still rich with love and loss and I was pleased to catch up with the characters of Sweetgrass Springs once again.
Always looking forward to whatever Jean puts out next.
