Seducing Professor Coyle edition by Darien Cox Literature Fiction eBooks

Twenty-three-year-old Ben hates Professor Peter Coyle until he sees him in an unexpected place and in a new light. After that, it becomes his mission to seduce Peter, but Ben's enthusiasm and student status terrifies Peter due to something unfortunate from his past.

I adored this. I expected a fun story, and this was, but it also featured an authentic and emotional Dom/sub dynamic (light on toys, heavy on feels!). I related to Ben's feelings and felt very connected to him unlike some reviewers. It was lovely for me to see such a character get a happy ending. The last scene was just perfect. What's more, Darien Cox knows how to write. This story was strong on a line-by-line level as well as a story level. I highly recommend it to everyone who reads M/M!

Seducing Professor Coyle edition by Darien Cox Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This was a really good story of Benjamin, a very determined, goal oriented senior college student and Prof. Coyle, a man who is determined to stay under the radar. Both gay. One openly and one hiding and afraid of losing his job. Ben and Peter Coyle comes to grips when Ben thinks Peter has lost his test and jeopardizes his graduating and his bank account. Dominique, Ben's best friend and roommate finds it for him. In the meantime, Ben finally realizes he has the "hots" for Peter and becomes determined to catch his man. Dom watches on the sidelines as he has a vested interest on what is going on between the Prof. and Ben. Ben has been on his own since he was ten and went into foster care. Paying for his education himself, he has learned to power his way through any obstacles in his way and thus he pushes his way into Peter's life. Peter lost his last teaching job because of a twisted, spoiled student who blackmailed him and the sued him. Winning the case, he still loses his job because of prejudices against gays. Now he feels he is under the same situation with Ben. Their journey is full of ups and downs and Dominique on the sidelines and others such as Thorn, Peter's best friend, and Scotty, a loosely moraled young gay man complicate things. An excellent story worth reading.
Much more than I bargained for was the story of the highly motivated Benjamin, who was very close to completing his college education when he discovered that he had an incomplete in his literature class. When he approached the professor for help regarding the missing grade since he knew that he hadn't missed any classes, Ben found that the professor was not amenable to helping him at all.
Professor Coyle was feeling 'once burnt, twice shy'. His career had previously been derailed by a student who blackmailed him after a similar complaint regarding a grade. When Ben approached his professor, he was surprised that the professor was not open to helping him in any way, to the point of appearing frightened at the situation. Additionally, Ben was stunned by how good looking the professor was, up close. So good looking.
Later that same evening, Ben reluctantly attended a party with his roommate; a decadent bash at a mansion rumored to hold outrageous events. He was staggered to see Professor Peter Coyle engaged in rather forceful passionate activity with a young man in the pool. Ben couldn't tear his eyes away.

This story, while highly erotic with a hint of D's, has a storyline that engages the reader and introduces very likable characters. The motivations for the behavior of the main characters and primary secondary characters is in character based on the character's back story and events. This was a read endorsed in social media by a favorite author and I'm thankful for the recommendation. It is a special gift when a recommendation leads you to a new, previously unknown storyteller with a gift for setting the scene. This is one May to December relationship that was intense and satisfying.
A good story, it was well written and had a good storyline, I loved the characters. Ben, and Peter.
loved these characters together. Yummy. There was a thing or two that didn't work, but it was a good read
First time reading this author and I really enjoyed it. I liked his writing style so much I have been reading through his books since I finished this one.
This book is full of waffling. The indecisiveness and. Back a nd forth was a bit tiring. Benjamin was at times an irritating brat, then when he got his way he felt guilty about it. Very childish. Also the way he treated Dominick was not great. Okay storyline, just didn't really like the MC's.
***4.25 Stars***

Darien Cox, where the hell have you been all my life?!? Why have I not read any of your books yet??

This was a damn good student/teacher forbidden romance!

The writing is terrific! It's effortless and it's engaging. I was sucked into the story from the get-go....and dual POV to boot....oh yes, I was all in.

The anticipation and sexual tension here....wonderfully done. Just the right amount to keep the momentum moving forward.

I have to be honest and say that Benjamin skated the line of being a wee bit obsessed for me at times. I'm all for going after what you want, but there were a couple of instances where I think he was bordering on a little too needy. I think what kept him from going over the line for me was his honesty. He never played any games. He was honest and upfront about what he wanted, how he wanted it and why he wanted it. AND HOLY HELL DID HE WANT IT!

And Peter....he was quite the dominant and bossy top. YUM! I understood his hesitations and his fears. Once you're epicly (is that a word? - we'll go with yes) burned once, it's hard to let go of those fears and the paranoia that comes with it.

The steam here.....A+++++++++++ I mean....Quality, quality, quality.

However, I could have done without the whole Dominick subplot and the little bit of drama with Scotty at the end. I don't think either of those things were necessary to the story or added anything. I also have one niggle of displeasure about the end that had me scratching my head. (view spoiler)

Even with my couple of nit-picks, this is definitely a book that I see myself picking up again when I'm in the mood for a sexy, well-written story and a damn good time.

I highly recommend this one!!
