I was pleasantly surprised by this novel. I would recommend this.

The story portrays several key elements that combined in the correct manner result in a very good read. You have a Civil War northern train crew, specifically a conductor, that will not allow someone to steal or hi-jack his train. You have a Confederate Officer that believes "if he can steal a train with Lincoln on board", he might help end the war. The whole concept of taking a train with President Lincoln on board, is certainly a high-stakes military decision. Throw into the story that the same train is carrying a secret payroll cargo and is being pursued by a group of highly skilled thieves . . . and you have a very enjoyable book.

I enjoyed this book but the ending was vague. but all in all it was a good and interesting tale.
Pretty good.
I feel like I am learning details about historical events when I read historical fiction. I loved learning about the possibility of a Lincoln kidnapping.
Another excellent read, but hated the ending.

Really got in to to this alternate history. Good story line. Would like to see more like this.
Great train chase, with a lot of twists and turns in the plot. If you like the Civil War, you will really enjoy this book. Well written, with excellent character developments. Another one of those, "what if this had really happened" books!!!!!
